One of my wife’s friends is trying to lemon law her Patriot. She came to me for advice last winter with a list of small SUVs she was interested in. I told her, “Buy whichever of these you like best, except for the Patriot. If you tell me you’re on your way to go buy a Patriot, I will tackle you.” Of course she bought a damn Patriot.

Nobody EVER listens to advice. They say “Hey you like cars, I’m looking at these cars. Which one do you think I should get?” And then I say “, Well those two are solid choices but do not and I mean DO NOT choice that one.” They always fucking choose that one.

Yep. It’s uncanny how often that happens. I kind of understand the thinking of those who ask, “What do you think about XXXXX?” Those people are just looking for you to confirm that they should do what they’re going to do anyways. The people who come with a list, and I think there were like five on her list, and you tell them just avoid that one, how do they ALWAYS buy that one? How?!?! It’s madness.
